Loving, Faithful Engagement!

Great work continues to be done at the new church plant in Norcross, Georgia, Emmanuel Lutheran Church! This past Saturday was an absolute dynamite night of ministry! Thanks be to God for each of you who made such an impact!!! The hot coffee and hot tea were a big hit and helped everyone out on a cold night. It was so wonderful to see so many new conversations and engagements where people’s questions were heard and the Gospel was shared. Thanks be to God for Vicar Phil Owen and his wife Sabrina for their faithfulness in this mission!

Emmanuel Lutheran meets every Saturday night for Divine Service at Siloam Korean Church (1870 Willow Trail Parkway in Norcross). Go to EmmanuelLutheran.net for more information on Bible Studies and Community Engagement.

Emmanuel Norcross Phase 3!

The Lord has blessed this mission from the start! We thank God for the opportunity for us to share the Gospel with hundreds of people, many who had never heard it before! It has been a beautiful season for us to do ministry at Lillian Webb Park rain, cold, or shine!

The Lord has now opened up a door for us to do ministry in a brand new location in Norcross. Siloam Korean Church has graciously allowed us to have ministry space on the campus that is tailor made for Emmanuel Lutheran. We praise God for these brothers and sisters in Christ and our opportunity to gather this very Saturday, October 4 at 6 PM. The new location is 1870 Willow Creek Parkway in Norcross. This will be a most important gathering, for we will be discussing Phase 3 of this awesome ministry! We want you there for your ideas, encouragement, and prayers! All are welcome!

If you are new to the area and need a solid ministry to attend where God’s Word and Sacraments readily flow, join them on a Sunday morning. Bible Study is at 9:15 AM and the worship service is at 10:00 AM. Glory to God!

The new ministry address is:

Next T & C: WORSHIP

Invite friends and come to our the next Topic and Discussion at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Plant in Norcross! The Topic is: WORSHIP.

What is worship? What does it mean to worship? What happened in the Bible when people worshipped God? What pleases God in worship? Should the worship of God be convenient? Or culturally accommodating? Or are other things happening there? Looking forward to it!!!

New Church Plant in Lilburn!

Please see the message from Pastor Andy Wrasman to the congregation of Oak Road Lutheran about the newest church plant in North Georgia!

Dear saints of Oak Road Lutheran Church,

Blessings to you today in the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Thank you for your flexibility this past Sunday, switching the 10:45am service to 11am for Atlanta Mekane Yesus Church to be able to hold their Inaugural Ceremony in our Sanctuary.

The congregation had 7 baptisms, installed leaders, and received communion.

Members of Mekane Yesus of North America came from Maryland, Coloroda, and North Carloina to join their Ethiopian brothers and sisters in Christ to celebrate their new church plant.

Pastors Yared Halche, Francis Estafanos, and Samuel Yonas of Mekane Yesus of North America were in attendance and serving the Word and overseeing the distribution of the Sacraments.  Pastor Peter Meier, the Executive Director of Missions for the FL-GA District, preached on Acts 2 (and he also attended our 9:30am service).

The Inaugural Ceremony met Friday-Sunday.  Here is a link to Sunday’s service: https://www.youtube.com/live/Qvqz92OUPTM?si=eYhtuNwyGoeJAyhh

Some of Oak Road’s members were able to attend the service and the lunch that followed.  We are blessed to have partnership with this new congregation in furthering the Kingdom of God.  I hope to receive photos of our members at the meal.  I’ll share those when I receive any.

1 Samuel 7:12 – “Thus far the Lord has helped us!”

Peace in Christ,

Pastor Andy
